Crystal Palace produced a commanding performance as they welcomed fellow South London side Charlton Athletic to the Borough Sports Ground in the Subway Players Cup.
The Eagles made a bright start and took the lead in the 22nd minute when Shanade Hopcroft found the bottom corner from outside the box, giving Palace a deserved advantage.
Palace continued to create chances after the break and doubled their lead just after the hour mark. Shannon O’Brien reacted quickest from close range to finish off a move that was created by good work from Kirsty Howat.
Charlton attempted to find a way back into the contest, but Palace remained in control and continued to threaten as the game entered its closing stages.
The scoring was completed in stoppage time when Lexi Lloyd-Smith produced a superb long-range strike to round off a convincing 3-0 victory for the Eagles.
