Cardiff came into this derby match already crowned as league champions; this was meant to be a party, although Swansea had other thoughts.

The Swans took the lead after 36′ through Kate Hosford and it took until the fortieth minute for Cardiff to equalise through Cymru U19 international Lily Billingham.

In the second half, Cardiff became dominant with two further goals at 60′ by Rhianne Oakley and at 79′ by Zoe Atkins. 3-1 is how the march ended with Cardiff getting then getting their party into gear.

Cardiff now play Briton Ferry, who recently missed out on promotion to the Adran Premier in the play off final against Wrexham, in the FAW Women’s Cup final at Penydarren Park, home of Merthyr Town on Sunday, 23rd April.
