Yeovil Town Women came out 3-0 winners against Plymouth Argyle Ladies in a very exciting game.
Not a lot happened in the opening periods of the game. Yeovil looked the more threatening side and were causing Plymouth some trouble. Argyle did have a few chances but couldn’t get past Yeovil keeper Beth Howard.
The home team managed to break the deadlock as Annie Heatherson’s shot managed to get past Plymouth keeper and into the net.
Not long after, Sarah Wiltshire almost doubled the lead but Plymouth’s defence did well to block the shot. Yeovil went in at half time with a 1-0 lead.
Yeovil came out second half rearing to go and Wiltshire managed to double Yeovil’s lead after chipping the call over Ben Kyle (Plymouth’s keeper).
The lady glovers were threatening throughout the whole of the second half. Youth academy player Jenna Markham bagged Yeovil’s third of the game after she got past Argyle’s defence and her shot found the back of the net.
Yeovil face Gillingham away on the 1st March and will hope to bring home another 3 points.
