MK Dons Women Team Line up vs Watford - Stadium MK
MK Dons Women Team Line up vs Watford – Stadium MK

After last weekend’s comprehensive defeat to Watford, MK Dons will be looking to bounce back and get back to winning ways vs Bridgwater. But this could be no simple task, as Bridgwater will be coming to Stadium MK in search of points as they look to escape the relegation zone.

Bridgwater are currently sitting 11th out of 12th on 14 points, and have played 18 games so far this season, and if they were to get a result and result go in their favour it could see them jump out of the relegation places and up to 9th.

Bridgwater will be hoping to get a result. Last time out they welcomed Cheltenham Town to Fairfax Park. The game ended up 3-3 with the visitors going down to 10 players late into the game.

As for the Dons, they will be looking to get back to winning ways. One of the objectives for Charlie Bills side was to finish in the top 5 of the league. With still 2 games in hand, a place in the top 5 could still be achieved.

But after last week’s blip vs Watford. The team will be looking to get things right and put to bed last week’s result.

Charlie Bill acknowledge that last week’s performance was an embarrassment and was not a true reflection of what his side is about.  He expects and knows that his side will show a reaction. As once again Stadium MK looks forward to hosting many expectant MK Dons fans.

Last Meeting – Last time both sides played each out was on October 2nd, in what ended up in a 1-1 draw. But the game itself came at a cost for MK Dons, as Centre Back Sofia Stovold had to come off due to a broken collar bone. This injury saw Sofia out for several months.

MK Dons Manager – Charlie Bill, “Last weekend was an incredibly tough game, but we’ve learnt a lot about ourselves from that & the group have come in with a fantastic attitude this week ready to correct the wrongs. Bridgwater will not be an easy game at all, they have been fighting for every point they need to stay in this league & expect on of our toughest games this season. So we have to ensure we reach our heights & standards in order for us to get another 3 points in the league”

Rhianna Rush – MK Dons Women,“The girls know how important the last few games of the season are for us in terms of where we want to sit in the league. We can’t drop our standards especially against a team like Bridgewater who will make it very difficult until the final whistle. As long as we stick to the game plan and work hard as a team, we will put things right!”

“We have been working hard to correct mistakes after Sunday. It hurt a lot after the game because we played no where near to the standard that we can and we let ourselves down. However, we have all reflected on our individual performances and look to bounce back as a team and show how incredible this group can be!”

Bridgwater United Manger – Grant Fisher, “We make the long trip to Milton Keynes as we embark on the final and most important 4 weeks of the season with 3 away and 1 home game to finish off any points now will contribute hugely in our chances of surviving this season. We know we are coming up against a good opposition and it will not be easy but we will give it all we have until the end of the season”
