Cardiff City came into this match after picking up the Adran Premier League title the previous weekend and with Briton Ferry Llansawel, although winning their league, missed out on promotion to the top table after failing to beat Wrexham in a play-off.
Cardiff were favourites to win the match and it took just twenty-two minutes for them to be off the mark with a goal by Eliza Collie, this was followed up with a second two minutes later from Catherine Walsh and before half time Ffion Price had made it three, scoring directly from a corner.
At that point, the second half was rather a formality with Cardiff adding a fourth on 90 minutes through Rhiannon Oakley.
