AFC Wimbledon enjoyed an emphatic afternoon, securing a 4–0 victory over Billericay Town in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division.
The Dons made a flying start and were already 3–0 ahead inside the opening eight minutes. A brace from Ashlee Hincks, both coming from corners, was followed by a well-taken volley from Alisha Buckingham.
Just before half-time, Rosie Russell added a spectacular fourth. She intercepted a Billericay clearance and struck a superb half-volley into the top corner to cap an excellent first-half display.
The result lifts the Dons out of the relegation zone, with Gwalia United replacing them.
We were fortunate enough to have Lewis Jeffery on hand to capture the action.
