Weymouth caused a big shock in the South West Regional League on Sunday. Despite being reduced to 10 players for most of the game, they became the first team this season to take a point from recently crowned Eastern division champions Pucklechurch Sports.
Starting the day at the foot of the table, Weymouth surprised their visitors by taking the lead after 10 minutes through Zara Hunt. However, just two minutes later, their task was made more difficult when Gracie Billing was shown a straight red card.
Pucklechurch dominated the ball for much of the game, eventually getting their equaliser through Jessica Frazer after 65 minutes, but they were unable to force a winner as the young Weymouth team defended for their lives.
