Paris Saint-Germain forward Kadidiatou Diani has extended her contract at the club until 2023, two days after Nadia Nadim also put pen to paper in the French capital.

Speaking to the club’s website she said “When you’ve grown up in the Paris region like me, PSG is an institution. It’s the dream of every kid who plays football to join this club. It really gives you a warm feeling inside when the club you love shows just how much they want to keep you. I also must add that we have the best fans in Paris. They support us from the first to last minute of every single game. I have got a lot of messages from them and would like to thank them. I love hearing them shout ‘Paris est Magique’ or ‘Ici c’est Paris’. I’m looking forward to seeing them again. I would also like to thank the club hierarchy for their support.”

Speaking about the current Coronavirus situation Diani said “I’m really looking forward to getting back to training, but we have to be careful and follow the advice because our region has been badly affected. I spare a thought for the health professionals who are on the front line, and – for their sakes – we have to stay at home. I’m keeping myself in shape, and I call my family and loved ones every day.”

Talking about her objectives at the Parc des Princes Diani added “We started something three years ago with my teammates by winning the Coupe de France. I’d like to have the chance to win other trophies with Paris. I think my individual goals are tied in with team success. Above all, I want to score more goals year on year.”

She had been a target for Portland Thorns and French rivals Lyon but has now committed her future in Paris for a further three years.
