Preview: West Bromwich Albion vs Derby County

Sunday will mark a historic milestone in West Bromwich Albion women’s history as they play their first game at the Hawthorns. The men’s team ground will be the setting for the National League fixture as they host Derby County.

West Brom are looking for their first league win in two months when they face second in the table Derby, who have won 11 of their 17 games this season.

In the previous meeting between the two sides neither team found the back of the net in a hard contested draw. However, this time around the Baggies will be looking to secure all three points to ensure they move further from the bottom three relegation spots.

Coming into this game off the back of a commendable women’s FA Cup run, exiting after a narrow defeat to Championship side Coventry United, the side should be full of confidence and ready to perform.

The Ewe Rams have been less than consistent since the start of the year with a win, loss and draw in their last three games. As they are hot on the heels of Wolves, who are three points clear at the top of the table with two games in hand, picking up maximum points in all games from now on will be essential if they want to steal the title.

The game kicks off at 2pm, with tickets priced at £5 for adults and £1 for under 18s.
