Photo Diary: Wolves 2-1 Rugby Borough

In a hard-fought First Round clash of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup at SEAH Stadium, Wolves Women edged past Rugby Borough 2–1 to secure their place in the second round.

Wolves broke the deadlock just before half-time when Amy Sims drilled a precise shot into the bottom-right corner. Early in the second half, Georgia Marshall doubled the lead, tapping in at the back post from a superb Beth Merrick corner.

Rugby Borough mounted a late fightback, with substitute Camwell pulling one back in the 84th minute. However, Wolves held firm in the closing stages — goalkeeper Alex Brooks producing a vital save to preserve their advantage.

It was our pleasure to have Jess Deakin (@jess.deakin) on hand to capture the action.
