Manchester United progress into the semi-finals of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup for the first time in the club’s history with a 3-1 win over Championship side Lewes.

Marc Skinner’s side took the lead early through Alessia Russo with a bit of help from defender Rhian Cleverly. United’s lead was doubled in the 20th minute via the head of Vilde Boe Risa.

Emily Kraft’s superb goal pulled one back for the home side, much to the delight of the sell out Dripping Pan. However, second-half substitute Nikita Parris settled the tie and set up a semi-final against Brighton & Hove Albion, the same opposition as their male counterparts in their respective competition.

We are over the moon to be able to share James Boyes‘ story of the day as he captures all of the action pre, during and post-match.
