Photo Diary: Liverpool 1-3 Arsenal

On the final day of the 2025/26 Women’s Super League season, Arsenal travelled to Anfield to face Liverpool in an emotional season finale.

Arsenal produced a dominant first-half display, scoring three goals in just 11 minutes. Alessia Russo netted twice, while Mariona Caldentey added a stunning strike following a brilliantly worked training-ground routine with Katie McCabe.

Liverpool responded after the break, with Zara Shaw pulling one back from a corner to make the final score 3-1. The victory secured second place for Arsenal and automatic qualification for next season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League.

The occasion was also filled with emotion for both clubs, as players, staff, and supporters said farewell to long-serving members of their teams while celebrating their contributions and achievements.

We were fortunate enough to have Caitlin McKissock on hand to capture the action.
