Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by Tottenham Hotspur despite controlling large periods of the contest and pushing for a late winner.
The Reds made a bright start, dominating possession and creating opportunities for their forwards, but they were unable to turn their early pressure into an opening goal.
Tottenham gradually grew into the game and began to enjoy more of the ball before taking the lead in unfortunate circumstances. A deflection off Liverpool defender Samantha Kerr sent the ball beyond the goalkeeper to give Spurs the advantage.
Liverpool responded after the break and eventually found a deserved equaliser through a superb delivery from Fuka Nagano. Her pinpoint cross was met by Csillag, who powered a header into the net to bring Liverpool level.
The equaliser sparked a strong spell for the hosts, who controlled much of the remainder of the second half and pushed forward in search of a winner.
However, Tottenham goalkeeper Lize Kop produced several crucial saves to keep her side in the contest and ultimately secure a point. Liverpool were left frustrated at not being able to complete the comeback, while Tottenham held on for a hard-earned draw.
