Photo Diary: Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

Chelsea dropped points for the first time this season, while Gareth Taylor’s Liverpool side offered a glimpse of an exciting future under his leadership.

Chelsea opened the scoring in the ninth minute, with Alyssa Thompson curling a superb effort into the net. Liverpool responded in the 33rd minute, when Beata Olsson finished off a lightning-quick counter-attack to level the match.

Despite Chelsea controlling long stretches of the game, they couldn’t find a decisive goal, and the contest ended 1–1. The standout positive for the Blues is that the result extends their remarkable unbeaten run to 34 matches.

We were fortunate to have photographer James Giblin (@jamesgiblinphotography) on hand to capture all the action.
