After the elation of winning away at Chelsea, Liverpool were brought down to earth with a bump as Everton claimed a 3-0 win at Anfield in the Women’s Super League season.
Megan Finnigan gave Everton the lead when she headed past goalkeeper Rachael Laws. Jess Park caught the eye of Sarina Wiegman with the second, a composed finish after dancing her way through the Liverpool defence. While substitute Hanna Bennison capped off the win with the third goal.
The match was played in front of a massive crowd of 27,574 – a record for a Women’s Super League game at Anfield.
We were fortunate to have photographer Hana Gul on hand to capture all of the action.
