The Young Lionesses are hard at work at St. George’s Park preparing to defend their U23 European Competition title for the 26/27 season.
Fresh off last season’s 3-0 triumph over Sweden, head coach Lydia Bedford enters her first full season with high ambitions, noting:
“It’s going to be an important year for the WU23s, particularly with a senior World Cup on the horizon, and we want to keep pushing the players.”
The title defence kicks off against Norway at the LNER Stadium in York. Bedford added:
“We know it won’t be easy and Norway will provide a difficult test to start the campaign. We’re looking forward to playing in York and I hope we see lots of England fans there.”
