Chelsea Women produced a confident and clinical display to secure a 4–1 victory over Everton Women at Goodison Park, underlining their strength and determination to claim a Champions League place as the season approaches its conclusion.

The visitors started on the front foot, opening the scoring early after sharp attacking play from Kerr carved open the Everton defence. The Toffees responded well, drawing level six minutes later through a superb strike from Japanese midfielder Yuka Momiki.

However, Chelsea regained control in the second half. Kerr struck again just two minutes after the restart to restore the lead, showcasing her trademark composure in front of goal.

Kerr also had a controversial goal disallowed when her headed effort was clawed away by Everton captain Courtney Brosnan. Replays appeared to show the ball had crossed the line, leaving Chelsea frustrated and Kerr justified in her protests.

From there, Chelsea’s attacking quality began to shine through. Further goals from Carpenter and Cuthbert put the result beyond doubt, as Everton struggled to cope with the sustained pressure.

The victory not only adds three valuable points to the board but also reinforces Chelsea’s momentum and Champions League ambitions heading into the final stretch of the campaign.
