Match Report: Yeovil Town 8-0 Hounslow

After a delayed kick-off Yeovil managed to slot 8 goals past Hounslow giving them all three points.

It was a slow start from both teams as neither keeper was challenged early on. But it was Yeovil who managed to break the deadlock. Charlotte Buxton’s ball in found Sarah Wiltshire who made no problem firing home Yeovil’s first of the game.

Not long after Meesha Dudley-Jones doubled Yeovil’s lead. A good ball from Jordan Guard (who had an amazing game) set Wiltshire up but she wasn’t able to get on the end of it.

Wiltshire however did manage to score the next time after she chipped the ball over the Hounslow keeper to get her second of the game.

Hounslow received a free-kick after some shirt pulling but the ball went straight into the hands of Beth Howard.

After a bad tackle in the box Yeovil captain Annie Heatherson stepped up to take the penalty and she made no mistake slotting home to give Yeovil a 4-0 lead.

Yeovil came out looking strong in the second half and 5 minutes in Sarah Wiltshire managed to get her hat-trick after she ran past the goalie which gave Yeovil their 5th goal of the afternoon.

Annie almost got her second goal of the game after her shot found the back of the net but it was offside.

After a perfectly fine tackle from Heatherson Hounslow went down to 10 players as their player got injured in the tackle.

New signing Ellie Strippel was next to get in on the action scoring her debut goal for the club. On her second attempt the 18-year-old slotted home her first goal for the lady glovers giving them a 6-0 lead!

Wiltshire managed to get her fourth not long after, making her the top scorer of the game.

Near the end of the game Beth Howard (Yeovil Keeper) made way for Jasmine Read who made her debut for the club and revived a massive round of applause from a crowd of 202 as she made her way onto the pitch.

But Yeovil weren’t done yet! Megan Wood smashed the ball into the back of the net to give Yeovil their 8-0 victory.
