Ellen White added three to her England tally to surpass Kelly Smith’s record of 46 in another rout by Sarina Wiegman’s side.

The Lionesses made it 66 consecutive qualifying games without defeat, the third in this campaign in which they have reached double figures, as they make it 53 goals in the last five.

Dizzying numbers of the qualification formalities that come from watching the world’s best and a part-time team, ranked 102nd in the world.

Ellen took less than ten minutes to break the eleven year record, with a lovely strike from outside the area and a close range finish, before completing the hat trick in the second half.

A long Latvian night last October during the 10-0 demolition in Riga seemed longer in Doncaster, as 3 minutes in, Arsenal’s Beth Mead turned in a cross from Lauren Hemp.

Mead’s second and third sandwiched Hemp’s first goal for her country, a header following another neat England move.

A 19 minute drought was then ended by Ella Toone, quickly followed by Hemp’s second.

Little changed following the break, as Hemp finished off her hat trick to end the night with four, as substitute Alessia Russo also got her treble.

Georgia Stanway, a Bethany England double, Jill Scott and Jordan Nobbs all added to an ultimately rugby score tally.

England sit top of their qualifying group, now five points clear of Austria with six games gone.
