Wales battled bravely in a thrilling friendly but were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Australia. Courtney Nevin’s stunning free-kick put the visitors ahead, before 18-year-old Mared Griffiths levelled to lift the home crowd. However, Caitlin Foord’s late goal denied Wales a memorable result on a night that also saw an emotional send-off for Jess Fishlock in her 166th and final appearance.
