Plymouth Argyle secured 3 points against Oxford United in Matchday 21 of 22, with an ambitious 5-0 win in front of 1191 in attendance for the final home game of the season, despite falling a goal short to The U’s in the FA Cup 2nd Round in December.
Three first-half goals came from Tianna Teisar (11’), Arabella Suttie (42’), and Paris Dalton (45+2’), with Marie Hourihan’s side in control at the break, before adding two more in the second half through Paris Dalton (54’) and Roisin Kivel (74’).
With Argyle on 49 points, Watford’s promotion confirmed (53 points), and Bournemouth on 43 points with three games over the next 3 weeks, it’s tight at the top and, unless Bournemouth fall short, it could be all to play for on the final weekend (April 26th).
