Newcastle United made their debut at St. James’ Park, the famous home of their male counterparts. A record crowd of 22,134 attended to see the home side record a 4-0 win over Alnwick Town. Town stepping in after the match with Barnsley was postponed due to a cup final commitment.
Goals on the day came from Katie Barker, Brooke Cochrane, Georgia Gibson, and Beth Guy. Liverpool Feds’ win over FC United of Manchester confirmed that the Lady Magpies finish the season in second place of the FA Women’s National League Division One North.
