Wolves Women began their 2025/26 FAWNL Northern Premier Division campaign in emphatic fashion with a 4–0 victory over Liverpool Feds. From early on, Wolves asserted their dominance, showcasing both sharp attacking play and defensive composure. Amber Hughes wasted no time in making an impact, breaking the deadlock within the opening five minutes. Her early strike set the tone for the afternoon, putting Liverpool Feds immediately on the back foot. Just five minutes later, Louanne Worsey doubled the lead, giving Wolves a comfortable cushion before their opponents could find any rhythm.

The first half continued with Wolves in control, and their persistence was rewarded deep into stoppage time. Bethan Merrick added a third goal at the 45+5 mark, effectively sealing the contest before the teams even headed into the break. Despite the commanding lead, Wolves maintained their intensity in the second half. On 65 minutes, Amy Sims put the result beyond doubt with a composed finish, rounding off an excellent team display.

We were fortunate to have photographer Clare Wood (@shootslikeagirlphotography) on hand to capture the action.
