Manchester City Women came out with the victory at Ashton Gate in the Women’s Continental Cup and sail through to the Semi-Finals where Arsenal stands in their way to get through to the Final. (Semi-Final draw was made on Thursday 26/01/2023).
Bristol City WFC looked like they might have a chance against Manchester City coming into the game, lying 2nd in the Women’s Championship and achieving getting into the Quarter Finals of the competition, but Man City experience with the likes of Steph Houghton and Alex Greenwood, then the goalscoring ability of Lauren Hemp and Chloe Kelly (who came on as a substitute later in the game) were just too much for Bristol City in the end and they came out 0-6 winners.
