OH Leuven secured their place in the UEFA Women’s Champions League third qualifying round after a dramatic 1–1 draw with Fenerbahçe, eventually prevailing 4–2 on penalties.
Fenerbahçe made the stronger start and took an early lead, but the Belgian champions responded by finding an equaliser and forcing the tie into extra time. With neither side able to find a decisive goal across the additional 30 minutes, the contest was settled from the penalty spot.
OH Leuven kept their composure when it mattered most, converting their opportunities to win the shootout 4–2 and book their place in the next qualifying round.
The victory keeps the Belgian champions’ European campaign alive and moves them one step closer to reaching the Champions League league phase.
