As Yeovil Town Ladies‘ battle continues to survive relegation the Lady Glovers managed to pick up a point against Brighton & Hove Albion after a second-half goal from Ellie Mason.
The first chance of the game came from Yeovil as Hannah Short‘s free-kick found Ellie Mason but her header was just wide.
On 28 minutes a Brighton corner found Victoria Williams who headed it straight into the back of the net giving Brighton the lead.
Megan Walsh was tested again just before half time but Walsh did well to make sure Brighton didn’t double their lead.
Yeovil came out in the second half looking very hopeful. The Glovers had some good chances but they just couldn’t get it past the Brighton defence.
A free kick form Hannah Short was met by Ellie Mason who was player of the match and she made no mistake firing it home for the Glovers which made the score level.
After Yeovil equalised both teams pushed to try and get a second goal but neither team managed to do so with the amount of time remaining.
Yeovil’s next game is away to Everton on the 31st of March in which Yeovil will try their hardest to get the win in the battle to survive relegation.
