Club America travel away to Necaxa for the 5th game in the Guard1anes 2021 season with another more rotation in place once again as they look to find some early form in the league. The form so far this season hasn’t quite clicked as they look to find their feet early on. Big massive shout out to Claro Sports, Marca Claro for streaming the game live on Youtube so that anyone and everyone can tune in to watch.
The game starts at a fast pace with both teams looking to create some early in roads and it’s Necaxa that have first chance of note as the ball is pulled back to Paulina Castro, but a fantastic touch tackle makes sure the attacker doesn’t have time to pull the trigger on the 4th minute. Club America break well as Daniela Flores gets it all wrong as she looks to shot after some great work and scuffs her shot. On the 10th minute Eva Gonzalez shoots from outside the box but her shot gets deflected wide of the post. The game has slowed down after a fast start with Club America trying to keep the ball and build but Necaxa staying solid at the back.
Club America get caught on the counter attack as some great work by Samantha Calvillo plays in Alejandra Balderas who’s effort is well saved by Natalia Acuna but the first save made by ethier keeper in the game on the 16th minute. Club America look comfortable on the ball and Necaxa look happy for them to have the ball and try and hit them on the counter. Club America’s play like the last few games has been great until it comes to the final third and they can’t seem to create the goals. On the 26th minute a drinks break is taken on a very hot day as the teams receive instructions.
Necaxa are trying to get on the ball a little more since the drinks break as Club America try to build up from the back and it looks to pay off with some great play until Montserrat Hernandez is played on the edge of the box who skys her shot high and wide of the goal as the score remains 0-0 with 39 minutes on the clock. It’s Necaxa that have the next best chance of game as well as a ball across the box falls to Estefany Hernandez but she can’t get it under control as it rolls to Natlia Acuna in the America goal. Necaxa putting pressure on America near the end of the first half and a long range effort by Paulina Castro is hit over the bar in the final minute of the half as the referee blows for half time with the scores at 0-0.

Club America start on the front foot as a good ball into the box nearly finds the head of Mayra Pelayo but just can’t quite get her head to it. Club America starting to turn the screw in the opening 5 minutes of the second half out wide but can they take advantage of the pressure. Some good defending by Necaxa after Mayra Pelayo drops her shoulder and puts a beautiful ball into the box. The ball is in the back of the net as Mayra Pelayo heads the ball into the back of the net only to be given offside by the officials as the score remains 0-0 on the 54th minute. Which is followed up by another effort from Daniela Espinosa but it easily dealt with by Daniela Munoz.
Necaxa nearly get in behind with Estefany Hernandez but Natalia Acuna comes running off her line to clear the ball before can make anything of the break. Club America look to break but as they start to go forward Mayra Pelayo see’s the Necaxa keeper off her line and trys her luck but the effort is wide of the goal as we break the hour mark at 0-0 still. Montserrat Hernandez once again works her magic on the wing and picks out Daniela Flores who gets it all wrong as the ball goes over the bar. The scores remain 0-0 with 18 minutes remaining as the second half’s drink break is taken.
Finally a goal as the commentator says Goalllllllllllll, Goall, Goalaa as Mayra Pelayo takes a touch outside the box and hits it hard towards the goal and Daniela Munoz can’t keep the ball out the net as Club America finally break the deadlock on the 74th minute, 0-1. Can Club America keep the clean sheet and retain the 3 points as we enter the final 10 minutes of the game. A sliced clearance by Jocelyn Orejel finds it’s way safely back to Natalia Acuna. Club America nearly get in behind as Montserrat Hernandez is just beaten to it by Daniela Munoz who comes rushing out of her goal in the 87th minute. Montserrat Hernandez works herself into a shooting position but the effort goes wide of the goal as the games enters 3 minutes of injury time. Necaxa catch out Club America and play it across the box but Alejandra Balderas slips as she goes to hit her effort. The referee blows his whistle and Club America pick up the 3 points away from home and clean sheet with a 0-1 win over Necaxa.
