Match Preview: MK Dons v Cheltenham Town

Following on from the bitter taste of defeat last weekend, the Dons will be looking to bounce back on the road as they travel to Bishops Cleeve FC to take on Cheltenham Town.

Boosted from their new signing Adekite Fatuga-Dada the Dons will be hoping the ex-Watford and Nigerian International hits the ground running and show her quality that has seen her play over 100 games for the hornets, as well as being selected to represent her Country.

For the Dons, this is a massive signing and a real coup. As number of big clubs would have looked at signing Adekite when she left Watford.

Picking up a player of this calibre shows great intent for a side that is looking to break into the top 4 and could even maybe challenge for the league title. Yes, leagues are not won by a single player on their own, but they are won as a team, and if Adekite can fully integrate herself into the squad show her quality. The Dons could have found the key that opens the door to a higher level.

Opposition View –

Currently Cheltenham are 8th within the FAWNL Southern Premiership with 4 points. Winning 1 game so far this season vs London Bees 3-2 at home, as well as taking a point vs newly promoted side Cardiff City 2-2.

Phoebie Pool will be a key player to look out for, as currently she has scored 4 goals in 5 games.

Alongside Phoebie, Emily Allen currently has been involved in 4 goals this season, scoring 2 herself as well as setting up another 2.  So, for the Dons to have a chance at winning they will have to look to keep both quiet.
