Dons look to bounce back after back-to-back defeats. Charlie Bill will be hoping his side put in a strong performance after last week’s capitulation away to Cheltenham that saw the Dons conceded 3 goals in the space of 7 minutes.
But this weekend fixtures will be no easy task, as his wounded side will be looking to turn there woes around as they take on a strong Billericay side at Stadium Sunday afternoon.
Currently Billericay find themselves a point ahead of Bills side in 5th.Last weekend Billericay welcomed Cardiff City at New Lodge. The game finished in an entertain 3-3 draw.
Maddie Biggs currently leads the scoring charts for Town. She so far has been deadly in front of goal that has seen her score 7 in 6 games played. So, the Dons will have to look to keep the striker quiet this weekend if they have any chance of getting 3 points.
Last Time Out – Cheltenham Town 4 vs MK Dons 3
MK Dons Women travelled to Cheltenham last weekend as they battled the elements, as well as the score line. Charlie Bill sides somehow lost the advantage after coming back from a goal down at half time to be winning 3-1. Yet eventually saw his side losing 4-3.
A result that would of truly shock the foundations of Bill and his coaching staff as well as his players.
New signing Adekite Fatuga-Dada was one of the only few bright lights I a drab performance. After being somewhat isolated in the first half, Adekite found changing wings and was able to see more of the ball, and the winger showed her quality as she drove at the Cheltenham defence beating 3 players and found Laura Mitchell in the middle with a great cut back to get the Dons back on terms. Her energy played a key part in helping the Dons get back into the game.
Laura Mitchell will also be looking to extend her goal scoring record. So far this season the Welsh winger has scored 4 goals and is currently leading the way ahead of Rhianne Rush with 3 and new signing Megan Attenborough with 2. A small concern might be that Mollie Coupar is yet to find the form that saw her score 21 goals last season. But hopefully after scoring from the sport last weekend, the striker starts to re discover her fine form from last year.
